The first hour is a wallet, a balance, and one real call.
You do not need the whole stack to start. You need the right network, testnet gas, and a check that the RPC you think you are calling is the RPC that answered.
01
Follow the hour in order
- 01Put Galileo in the walletChain id 16602, symbol 0G, 18 decimals. Then claim at faucet.0g.ai.
- 02Read the balance twiceOnce in the browser on this portal, once with cast balance --ether. They should agree.
- 03Open a deskMetaPlay if you are testing a social or prediction round. Comfy if you are launching on mainnet.
- 04Install the tools for your OSNode 20+, Git, Foundry, and the compute CLI. Windows reopens the terminal after winget.
- 05Make one model answerA Private Computer key and a chat completion. Credit is not the faucet.
- 06Tick the benchLeave the machine only when chain id, balance, and the tool versions passed.
02
Pick the desk before the dependency
A prediction round wants chain, storage for the sealed prompt, and compute for the judge. A launch on Comfy wants mainnet 0G and the live app at https://www.comfy.fun/. An agent that should be ownable wants Agentic ID on top of either of those, not instead of them.
Stay on Galileo until a transaction is boring. Mainnet tokens come from https://get.0g.ai. Compute credit comes from https://pc.0g.ai or from 0g-compute-cli deposit.
03
You are done with setup when
- cast chain-id on the testnet RPC prints 16602.
- The address that claimed has a non-zero balance in 0G, not only in wei you forgot to convert.
- The same address is the signer in your .env or keystore. A second unused address is the usual reason a deploy says it is broke.
- One of compute, storage, or a contract deployment has a receipt you can paste to someone else: a completion id, a root hash, or a transaction hash.
